Why use scroll frames?
Are you tired of hoop marks, uneven tension, crushed stitches and a rumpled dirty project? Then scroll frames are the answer. They keep your fabric in a controlled area and you scroll your design up and down so it is in the perfect spot for effortless stitching. A scroll frame can be hand held in your lap or used in a frame holder giving you both hands free to stitch.

Features of the Gripit Quick Scroll Frames
The scroll frames are sturdy but lightweight. Alder is used for the sidebars and the dowels are Ramin. (Ramin dowels are resin free, sturdy and lightweight.) Gripit uses 3/4" dowels for frames.

In the NO BASTE system which is called the GRIPIT QUICK, we use the Q-Snap clamps to attach the fabric to the rollers. This system is quick, easy and provides excellent tension. You can change projects quickly on the same pair of rollers.  The three point knobs are made of industrial strenght plastic with brass inserts molded directly into the knob so they can't strip out. Extra holes in the side bars allow for a working areas of 5, 7 or 9 inches between roller bars.

These are Grip-It scroll frames and you buy them by the parts you need.  To complete a frame you will need side bars, scrolls and knobs. You can use the same side bars and knobs on different projects all you have to do is change the scrolls.

Q-Snap frames are made from PVC tubing making them lighter and more durable than other materials. The clamp design for holding the fabric is gentle and simple to use. Just lay the fabric over the frame then gently push the clamps down stretching the material around the outside of the frame. The ribbed inner surface of the Q-Snap clamps hold the tension for your preferred adjustment. Simply turn the clamp outward to tighten or inward to loosen.
